The Work
Branding
Passage believes that Brand flows outward from product; both hardware and software. So we actually designed the essence of the ID and UX concurrently with the company name and logo for a more cohesive an authentic brand story. We looked at other brands both inside and outside of climate tech, iterated on ideas, and narrowed to one name and mark that resonated the most for our customer.
UX
We initiated the project by developing comprehensive user personas and wireframes to map out the app's structure and functionality. This foundational work allowed us to visualize the user flow and interface layout. Following this, we crafted the detailed UI design of the Meter Mobile App using Figma in conjunction with our overall brand design. After finalizing the app design, we collaborated closely with Meter engineers to translate our vision into a fully functional app using FlutterFlow.

The Meter Battery was created to be a part of your home and also to distinguish itself in a market crowded with unattractive, engineering-driven products. Its Mondrian-esque form endows the battery with a distinct appearance from every perspective and would feel at place in any home.

Passage has launched a new website for Meter with the aim of introducing the new product and brand story The site also serves as a resource for utility providers and installers to learn about the product. Additionally, we've developed a bespoke calculator to assist users in determining the appropriate Meter Home Batteries setup they need for their homes.
